Blue Hen Lacrosse Camps are built around the philosophy of giving the camper the ultimate lacrosse experience. For over 29 years, our camps have assisted in developing some of the best players in the Youth, High School, College, Club, and Pro Game. Player of all ages have options from instructional camps w/competitive games or High School Tournament with college coaches in attendance to the new STX/Cascade Youth Invitational. Winner age group teams will receive free STX and Cascade Helmets .

This is an independently run camp and not sponsored by the University of Delaware.

Instructional/Team Camp’s Philosophy
June 27- June 30 (Ages 8-18)

Three 2 and 1/2 daily instructional sessions ensure that your child will receive the maximum amount of lacrosse instruction. Campers are grouped according to age, size, and skill level. Instructional emphasis will be on positional & skill play in the morning, team concepts in the afternoon, with games played at the end of each session and in the evening. There will be special individual emphasis on face-off and goalie mechanics. The camper to coach ratio will be 6:1 ensuring maximum exposure to the game of lacrosse. Players can attend as individuals. Teams are also encouraged to attend.

LOCATION AND FACILITIES

The camps are located at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. The Blue Hen Lacrosse Camp is the perfect camp for the novice, intermediate or advanced player. It is widely regarded as the "Top Instructional Camp in the Nation." Campers are taught by an excellent staff of college & high school coaches along with top collegiate level players. Most of the experienced coaching staff at the Blue Hen Camp have involved on the staff for many of the 28 years the camp has been in existence. ALL CAMPERS WILL STAY IN AIR CONDITIONED DORMS IN THE LAIRD NORTH CAMPUS AREA.

2010 Blue Hen Challenge
(Grades 9-12) July 9-11

Competitive High School Team Tournament. Teams, clubs and individuals are invited to play. Players can sign up as individuals and assigned to an independent team. High School teams and club programs are encouraged to enroll. The 3 day tournament begins with a brief NCAA instructional teaching session followed by a competitive team tournament Friday night, Saturday and ending Sunday at the University of Delaware. A tournament final four on Sunday afternoon will determine the tournament champion. College coaches will be invited to attend. UD Dorms are available or local hotels are nearby.

STX/Cascade Boy’s Youth Invitational

Elementary and Middle School Youth Tournament Only

No High School age players

Competitive Youth Tournament for U-14 (can not be high school age players), U-13, U-11, U-9. The 2 day tournament will have 4 games on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday followed by a Final Four for each age bracket. Players on the winning team of each age bracket will receive a STX stick and Cascade helmet of their choice and design.
